Herb Rogoff at a glance

If ever there was a renaissance man of art these days, no doubt it would be Herb Rogoff. Rogoff’s multi-faceted career has spanned the worlds of illustration, music, comics, painting, video and, yes, even baseball. Though he spent the majority of his career illustrating for magazines (such as Time, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, Playboy and New York), Rogoff also illustrated a variety of record albums, including The Best of the Beatles and The Best of the Rolling Stones. In addition, his artwork also features prominently in the videos of his friend and collaborator, Neil Ira Needleman. These works have been screened in a vairety of film festivals around the world. Rogoff has published four monthly magazines of his own, including One More Inning, a baseball fanzine that can be found in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Now retired, he is busier than ever at the easel, creating a vast output of work that has appeared in more than 30 galleries and museums in just the last few years alone.
